Native to Racine, JP has lived all around; Sheboygan, Greendale, Stevens point, Gurnee, and now Cudahy.Starting bass at 13, J.P. quickly disregarded "hairbands" and progressed to prog-rock studies during high school. In his later years at Greendale, he discovered the doublebass (the big fiddle ), as well as jazz and orchestral music.J.P. graduated in '96 from UWSP with a BA in music performance. While there, he played with the school's ensembles and with the Gerard Ent. group Atomic Funk .After the disbanding, J.P. moved to Milwaukee to search for another "Mothership". Finding refuge with the local disco-funk sensation Gyration , J.P. continued to supply grooves to the public until their ship crashed in 2000."Southside Juan" continues to work the jazz scene in Milwaukee with various groups while anchoring-down The Big Escape. Joseph A. B. Hausch was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin a long time ago. He is a Virgo, basically. His interest in the arts was apparent from a very young age as he won many competitions beginning at age 10. Portraits of his father and Milwaukee Bucks basketball players were among some of the works for which he received awards and mucho cash. No music stuff though.Hausch attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) and the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) sometime in the 80’s. There he studied drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, animation and design. No music yet. Somewhere along the line, Joe designed Paul Cebar’s , R&B Cadets’ first album “Top Happy”. That’s music related, right? Music...oh yeah. Joe is the former drummer for the “obscure Milwaukee rock band” Couch Flambeau (1986-1994). He also designed a few of those albums. Tour stops included a couple of trips to New York’s infamous CBGB’s and shows with names like (the late) Snakefinger, Big Black, Soul Asylum and White (Rob) Zombie. Recently he finished recording with another former Flambeau percussionist Ron “Giant Wow” Faiola and former Die Kreuzen lead singer Danny Kubinski as the BC3. Their version of “Good Night Now” kicks off the latest international compilation of Cheap Trick covers called ”AMCT v.5 2002”(See Push Button Gadget website). Hausch and Faiola have played together numerous occasions as Von Trash (“Reverend of Rock ‘n Roll”) and have recorded other under ground hits under the band handle Joe’s Basement (a remake of Iggy Pop’s “No Fun” and “You’re getting a drum solo for Christmas”). |
